The greatest law of them all: Love your neighbour just as I have loved you The message for today is love. 'Love your neighbour as you love yourself' has been described as the Jewish law of love. However we are being told that, there exist a greater love: the Christian love; the love of your neighbour just as Jesus had loved you. That is the greatest love of all. The love he showed when he shed his blood for all of humanity. That is the love that is being talked about today. It is known as 'Unconditional love' for your neighbour, love that is not partial, love that appeals to person and not name. Most of we Christians are guilty of this.
